Personal mobility devices: e-skateboards and e-scooters

New rules for personal mobility devices (PMDs) – e-scooters and e-skateboards came into effect as of 1 December 2021.

Transport Services within the Department of State Growth have provided a comprehensive guide to these changes for users.

E-bikes are not included in the definition of PMDs as they are already covered by the Road Rules and other legislation.
